Last persuasive paper

Nate Lewis

English II
20 May 2011
I believe that I have done a pretty good job this year in English class. I’ve come a long way from the first quarter especially in my writing. Since I’ve done a pretty good job I think the grade that I deserve is an "A." I deserve this because I try my hardest, and I have progressed quite a bit. That is why I deserve an "A" in this class.
I may talk a lot in class. However when I'm talking it's actually about what we are discussing in class. I may argue at times.
I try my hardest on my work. Whenever we have assignments I always spend time on doing them. My blogs have all been done. Every blog I have done has been turned in on time. My blogs and papers were done by and often before they the due date. This shows that I truly try my hardest on my work. I make the effort to have it done well and on time.
I also have progressed quite a bit in my writing. Not only have I progressed this semester, but over the whole year. I have progressed in my quality when writing. Now when I write I use actually substance to fill my paper. As where before I just filled my paper with mindless drivel. This is one of the many reasons I deserve this grade.
These are a few of the reasons I think I deserve an “A” for this class. I’ve progressed lots in this class and I always have tried my hardest on all my work. Everything has been done on time.

Villanelle

If I could i certainly would do it
Fill in in text just to blow off the dome
I'm a clutch you know that I've won that hit

I stick these lines I know how to spit it
Someday I'll have a place to call my home
If I could I certainly would do it

Throw out the rhymes and throw myself a fit
Someplace far away I'll call it my Rome
I'm a clutch you know that I've won that hit

Scoop it up and drop it from my own mit
My letters glint off so hot like some chrome
If I could I certainly would do it

Fill my life with these signs I just wanna sit
Wipe it out like it's some dirt off the comb
I'm a clutch you know that I've won that hit

Roaming out like a case of addition bit
I still wish to call the moon my own home
If I could I certainly would do it
I'm a clutch you know I've won that hit

Sonnet

I would save you whenever you need me there
I know I'm not that strong but i just might,
jump in for you the one i know does care,
I really think your crazy outta sight.

some say I might be quite the little bore,
I want to look across the room and say,
trust me somehow, I'm not just out to score,
How did it all start out with just a hey,

You try and see it through these worn and torn,
You should try and touch these bright blue skies
You don't see me adorned with a sick horn,
Lullabies only keep us up on highs,

Throw the two three down all for one to four
These words they just leave you wanting more.

Outside reading blog post

I wonder how Daniel got on this planet. So far it has talked about him being an alien. I haven't found out what planet he came from. I want to know how he got here from his home planet. It confuses me but it also makes me want to read more to find out.

If I were Daniel things would be a lot different. He is extremely brave and outgoing. If it were me I'm not sure how brave I would be. He jumps right into things for the greater good. I might just be worried about me more than the rest of the world.

I realized how insane this book was by page one. It starts out with Daniel being a three year old that talks way past his age. His vocabulary is advance for any human. He also can build amazing structures out of play-doh. So he obviously ins't any normal person.

The intended audience is most likely all teenagers. You can tell this from the authors word choice. He tries to use words that teenagers connect with and recognize. Content is also another way you can tell. The author puts in situations that teenagers and young adults can connect with.

The central issues are Daniel having to defeat Seth and him having to find out his origins. Seth is an evil alien trying to take over the earth. He has already destroyed other planets before and he enslaves human children. Daniel also has to find out his origins. He doesn't know exactly where he came from. He's not even sure about what his powers are yet. Daniel is trying to discover what his limits are and how strong he is.

Riddle Poem

To our dismay,
to your dismay,
to my dismay,

eating at thoughts,
holes through the walls,
its on the dome,
wont wash off,

breathing speeds,
heart races,
thoughts deepen, dampen
to hard to hinder or control,

focus is shattered,
the walls build up,
they grow so high,
then they break back down,
to there start, there birth from dismay.
