Outside Reading #1

I am reading The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan.

This is a fantasy book about Piper, Leo and Jason. It is told from each one of their personal point of view. The story is about their journey to recover Jason's memory.

I'm going to rate this book in gold dragons. So far it gets three and a half golden dragons. It's good so far but it has been a lot of character development and not a whole lot of action yet.

This is the kinda of genre of book that I really enjoy. I like fantasy books and stories with medieval themes tied into them. So for me this is the perfect book. I'm just hoping that all of these ideas can be molded together in a creative and entertaining way.

If I could ask the author anything I would ask where he came up with this idea. This isn't a very common book theme that I know of. Not many of authors write about old Olympian gods being around in present day situations. Especially with demigod children that are in everyday scenarios.

POW #3

When I first think of a picture that is memorable to me, one comes to mind. It is of when my friends and I were all little. This picture captures what my childhood was mostly. It was just me and my four best friends always just messing around together. This picture shows how we were. I really miss being that young. It's from when I had absolutely zero worries. Then if anything ever went wrong i could just forget about it and nothing bad would happen. Things are to different now. In the picture it shows Bradford, Jackson, me, Ryan and Ryan's brother, also Ryan's dog Largo. My best friend that isn't in the picture is Steven. All of us would hang out and play with Largo, or jump on the trampoline. During the summer we would always play flashlight tag, or hide and seek tag. Sometimes we would play hide and seek in the rafters of Jackson's shed. This picture just reminds me of all those times. That is why this is a picture that captures my favorite memories.

AOW #1

Ms. Byrnes did nothing wrong. She took a picture of an anonymous placenta. She was not disrespecting it in anyway. She asked if it was acceptable that she took the picture and the teacher never said don't do it. There is nothing in the student code of conduct against it either. Even when she was told she must take the photo off she did so immediately. Not even that but when she asked if she was in any trouble they told her she wasn't. Altogether she did absolutely nothing wrong so she should never have been expelled in the first place. You should readmit her. Case closed. Thank you.

POW #1

Hello my name is...
Nathaniel:

There isn't to much of a history to my name. My mom and dad spell it with an "e" instead of an "a" like in the bible. The meaning of my name is "gift from God." I don't see how, but apparently my parents thought that fit me. I like my name but i like change. So I've been thinking about going by a different name for awhile now. I'm not sure what i want to go by yet. My name is way to long so i go by Nate. I also just like the sound of Nate more.
