POW #3

Everyone will skip school. If there are two extra days at the end of the school year a majority of the students would skip. Dr. Berry is thinking about adding days onto the end of our school year due to the excess of snow days. Adding two days is a bad idea, because it will cost the school a large amount of money, and also it will drastically change the school calendar.

These two extra days of school would cost the district a lot of money. Money would have to be spent on utility bills along with food. Some may say it is a good way to spend the money however, they don't know how unproductive these days are. It would be in the districts best interest to not add the days. More money on those days means less for the rest of the year. Students will feel ripped off from the budgeting the district would have to do. Temperatures would probably be dropped making students uncomfortable. Some people might say that this would also change are school year.

The school calendar would be drastically changed from this addition of two days. Students would be confused and angered about the days. There might be finals on those two days but it won’t matter a large majority of students will still skip the two school days. Having two extra days will make the rest of the year more stressful. Students would have two extra days for school work but it would be unproductive. Students will just be upset that they are in school and their school work will reflect it.

Adding two days will end in bad news for the school district. It would cost lots of money for no reason. There would also be problems with the calendar and the districts time management. So don’t add those days. It’s for the kids.
